The hardest part of golf is consistency. It is not possible for any human to hit a golf ball perfectly 100% of the time. That includes Tiger Woods. However, what very goof golfers is consistently hit the ball very well the majority of the time. They hit it nearly perfect quite a lot of time.

What sets them apart is consistency. Even those at the top of their game have days they don’t get their shots right too many times. Golfers can only get that consistency is through practice. This is the only thing that can really help.

Consistently bad shots are another matter that needs to be addressed. This is the major matter when it comes to gold consistency.  To make something a natural behavior you must do it consistently.

The also applies to poor technique.  Address poor golf techniques as soon as possible.  The sooner you start working on them the sooner you will be able to practice the correct methods. Then you can start making the new actions second nature.

The best thing is for everyone to get professional instruction before ever attempting to play a round of golf.  That way they won’t learn bad techniques and need to relearn them at a later time.

I would recommend before ever attempting a round of golf newcomers have lessons. Learning how to use one club well is an alternative to lessons.  You probably want to learn how to play with the 7 iron. Play the entire round or nine holes using just the 7 iron and a putter.

A Unique Putting Tip

To improve your technique use this simple technique.

You need to learn to putt on the flat before you can expect to putt well on greens with a slope.

By practicing this you will be able to swing your putter though a straight line. This will enable you to hit the ball squarely on the face of the putter.

There is another good technique you can use when practicing on the green. Mark straight lines with a builders chalk line in several directions from the center of the hole spanning out around the green.  You will want to do this to one that you have at home since this technique wouldn’t be appreciated in public.

To make the process easier you should get someone to hold the chalk line at the center of the cup.

To leave chalk marks along the ground you must move around the green flicking line.  After that place your golf ball on the line and leave some of the line on the ground visible behind the ball. Your swing will be guided by that.

Swing your putter using the line on the ground as a guide.  You should line up the putter itself to connect with the center of the ball.

You will manage to putt in a very short time. From a relatively good distance you will be able to get the ball in the hole most of time.

Consistency and correct posture will help start to putt better.

Move the ball off the line after doing this from a different position on the green. Visualize that there is still a line on the ground by creating it in your mind. Look from the ball to the cup and back again several times.

You should line your putter up as before and look at the line on your putter. To hit center of the ball with this spot on your club.

You should now retrain yourself to see an invisible line from the ball to the cup. This will help you be able to use it on any green you play on.

Accuracy First and Distance Will Follow

Most beginners just want to hit the ball as far as possible. This is the one thing they have in mind. This mindset is one that many golfers never quite get out of. By not getting out of this way of thinking many golfers will never hot the ball the distance that they are capable of.

Wise golfers will practice for accuracy first. Once they have mastered the art of control they will concentrate on the distance.

If the ball is going got end up on another fairway or in the rough, there isn’t much point in hitting the ball.

The following shots will be all the more difficult. This is the only thing you will succeed in doing.

A fairway drive down the center will set up for a better approach shot. Although it will be a few meters shorter. You will also have a lower round score.

You will gain control of your shots by playing with smaller, more controlled wings. In a shorter amount of time you will progress to longer distances faster and correct techniques will be learned. They will hold you in good steed for the remainder of your playing career.

Developing accuracy first will also lengthen the distance of your drives. In fact the ball will be hit further.

Beginning with smaller swings will make it easier to train your body. You will be able to develop the correct actions. These actions are essential to helping you progress to the longer drives.

Over time, as you master your swing you will be able to progress to a full swing. You will know that you will have to control it to hit the ball in the correct direction.

A full swing ad correct action create a combination that will ensure you will hit the ball further. This would not be as likely if you only aimed for the big shots from the outset.

Unlike many people assume it to be, golf is not an easy game. The rules are simple, but the game play is tough. Many amateur players think that they can play the best game if they mimic the golf experts like Tiger Woods and V.J. Singh. Unfortunately, this is not true.

Hiring a physical trainer is expensive, but it is the best investment you will ever make if you are a passionate golfer. When you have a trainer by your side, you have someone to support you and help you play a perfect game.
